Tierra Milperas (a project of Community Agroecology Network)

A network of community gardens in Santa Cruz's Pajaro Valley that aims to increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables for low-income families. The initiative is dedicated to local food sovereignty, providing plots of land to farmworker families—who contribute to the region's agricultural industry, yet are disproportionally impacted by food insecurity--allowing them to grow their own food.
